Skills & Class Information

Shared spells are spells that belong in all mage toolkits. You may see them pop back up in other subclasses if they are modified by subclass talents - for example: arcane intellect gains a raven familiar in the arcane subclass, but not in any other subclass.

Derallera is able to switch between any subclass with concentration and work, but she prefers the arcane subclass and will generally run arcane unless there is a specific reason she should switch. I've taken the liberty to strip out quite a few of the video game mechanics as they are less important for an RP game where combat is for funsies rather than core gameplay. Time is relative and is comparative in seconds - a short while is generally <10s, a while is usually 10s<, and a long while is around or more than a minute.

Fun fact: arcane mage used to be like a 37 step priority rotation system and is still rarely picked by people despite being simplified and the technical best mage subclass right now. It's the best.

Racial Skills
Dragon's Breath
Able to spit flame from her mouth in a fantastic display, damaging and disorienting enemies caught in it.

Glide
Reduces falling speed, allowing safe landing from any height. Dismisses visage.

Soar
Muster your strength and launch into the air, able to fly. Dismisses visage.

Tail Swipe
Lash out with your tail, knocking enemies within 6yds into the air and slowing them by 70% for a short while. Dismisses visage.

Visage
Assume a form of your choosing. Your visage emanates magic, significantly increasing out-of-combat health regeneration for you and allies nearby. Please note that visage is dismissed once she begins casting - this is literally just a form that is used to not stick out when among human-adjacent races. Also, some things are just easier with human fingers.

Wing Buffet
With a powerful flap of your wings, knock away enemies in front of you and slow them by 70% for a short while. Dismisses visage.

Professions
Tailoring
Very well-versed in techniques used to harvest cloth and transform it into bolts used to make clothing - from decorative, to magically empowered clothes that help magic users focus and bolster their spells. Trained in all sorts of clothwork from sewing to weaving. Her clothing will generally be fashioned after traditional dracthyr and dragon technique, with attention to intricate detailing reminescent of dragons.

Enchanting
A master at the ability of breaking down magic items into their components and then utilizing those to enchant items and imbue them with magical properties. This means that she can empower weapons, or also enchant items to create fun glamours for people to utilize. She is also able to make magically enhanced oils such as potent poisons to coat weapons in.

Fishing
An accomplished fisher, she is also enjoys spending quiet moments fishing in the rivers of the Dragon Isles, and the ocean that surrounds it. She's quite knowledgable on how to use lures to attract fish and how to catch them, and dress them.

Mage Utilities
Teleportation
Mages are able to teleport themselves to another location. Typically, a specific point will be learned to avoid teleporting into objects or people. Teleporting oneself is done through an inward effort to turn oneself into a portal. Teleporting someone other than oneself is possible, but typically requires line of sight. "Line of mind" can be used - reaching out with ones mind to connect to the person - but this is very risky as many minds are difficult or even dangerous to touch.

Portals
Mages are able to create portals to another location, allowing more than just themselves to teleport to a new location. This requires channeling on the mage's part, but the portal will persist a few minutes after ending the channel unles specifically closed.

Conjure Refreshment
Mages are able to conjure food (either single, or a table to share) that is nourishing and promotes healing and recovery.

Counterspell
Counters an enemy's spellcast, preventing them from casting any spell from that school of magic for a short time.

Mass Polymorph
Transform all enemies within 10yds into a sheep, incapacitating them for 1 minute. Damage cancels the effect.

Remove Curse
Removes all curses from the target.

Slow Fall
Slows the falling of an ally so that they land safely from any height (as long as they meet the ground within 30s).

✨Arcane✨ Mage
Mages of the arcane are diviners of secrets, balancing the ebb and flow of incredible mystic energies. Unparalleled skill is required to manipulate the volatile forces of the universe. These practitioners push their magical knowledge to its very limits—often to the brink of their own exhaustion, and at great risk to the world around them. Those who master this craft are capable of releasing a barrage of unrelenting power upon their enemies, drawing upon replenishing energies to maintain their assault for as long as the battle demands.

This is the type of magic that Derallera is best with and typically practices. She utilizes raw arcane energy to protect herself and unleash attacks on enemies, dealing massive amounts of damage. Arcane magic is purpley pink and characterized by sparks and explosions. This subclass focuses on dealing raw damage.

❄️Frost❄️ Mage
Frost mages stand apart from their colleagues, in that their chosen school of magic focuses on maintaining supreme control over the capabilities of their enemies. Mages who command frost perform chilling displays on the battlefield, rendering foes immobile as they bombard them with ice. Often, the blade never reaches the caster before the bitter cold takes hold. The frost mage exudes frigid power as icicles form around them, foreshadowing the wintry demise of those who stand opposed on the field of battle.

The frost subclass's entire gimmick is that it slows or freezes everyone in place, controlling the movement of the battle field and leaving enemies helpless while the mage's allies finish them off. Derallera will use this if the situation requires it.

🔥Fire🔥 Mage
While any worthy mage is an unparalleled expert in the use of magic and heavily dedicated to their craft, those who master the forces of fire tend to be a little more audacious than their peers. If a threat stands before them, the answer is always to neutralize it in a glorious blaze. A lifetime dedicated to the study of fiery forces only fuels their pyromania, and these mages take pride—even pleasure—in igniting their enemies in wild bursts of flame. Mistake their affinity for watching things burn as a lack of self-control at your own peril.

The fire subclasse's whole thing is to set things on fire, keep them burning, and then use that to multiply their damage. This is the subclass that Derallera is least likely to use because she doesn't love setting things on fire.
